Casey Gates Frey
Casey Gates Frey is a creator with a passion for good storytelling. She is a writer, director, visual artist, and most recently was on staff at Elizabeth Banks' WhoHaha, a digital platform promoting women in comedy.
Her career in digital media inspired her to create her most personal project yet– The Belly Diaries, a graphic memoir designed to be swiped through on your phone.
As a director, Casey’s short film Crystal won in its category at the 2020 Best Shorts Film Festival, and the docu-style films she made through her initiative “Lady Brain” earned her BlogHer’s Voice of the Year Award in 2016. With a passion for stories it only seemed natural for Casey to take to podcasting as a way to experiment with a new medium, reach a new audience, and be able to record from home after her daughter’s bedtime.
